Wednesday Addams actress Lisa Loring dies age 64 after suffering 'massive stroke'
US actress Lisa Loring - best known for originally playing the iconic role of Wednesday Addams on the much-loved series The Addams Family - has sadly died aged 64 following a stroke.Her good friend Laure Jacobson shared the news of her death in a commemorative Facebook post, confirming Lisa had tragically passed away on Saturday after being taken off life support.
"She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night." "Beautiful, kind, a loving mother, Lisa’s legacy in the world of entertainment is huge. And the legacy for her family and friends — a wealth of humor, affection and love will long play in our memories."Lisa - who bagged the legendary role as the young Addams trouble-maker at just six years old back in 1964 - had recently returned to the spotlight following the launch of the popular Netflix series Wednesday.
Lisa starred as Wednesday in the first live-adaptation of Charles Addams' widely-adored New Yorker cartoons, assuming her role between 1964 - 1966 and fronting a total of 64 episodes.
