Some snarky reviewers just couldn't be more wrong
Yorkshire Fisheries is rated as the third best place to eat in the seaside town according to TripAdvisor. The Topping Street chippy is renowned for its service and quality which many customers have said they've experienced first-hand. Of the 3,103 reviews left on the site, nearly 3,000 have rated the chippy as either 'excellent' or 'very good'.
"It’s just standard fish and chips. Nothing more nothing less. I can’t give it an excellent review because I was not wowed and I can’t give it a bad review because the food was just ok and the place was clean. The takeaway menu was filled with chip-shop staples, such as cod, haddock, scampi and fishcakes, as well as chicken and beef burgers and of course a selection of sausages and pies. Finally, my order was called out and I nearly snatched it out of the woman's hands; I was ravenous. Any plans I had to enjoy my tea by the sea went out of the window as I rushed back to my car to enjoy my food whilst it was still piping hot.
