Liverpool host Brentford the Premier League on Sunday, so we simulated the clash to predict the outcome
After some poor recent results, Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways when they welcome Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Luckily for Jurgen Klopp's side, both Arsenal and Spurs also dropped points in the league, but Man City moved to the top spot after winning 6-1 against Bournemouth. Liverpool have won both of their home clashes against Brentford since the Bees were promoted in 2021, and Klopp will be hoping for a third this weekend.
We predict that the Bees could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Strakosha; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Janelt; Onyeka, Norgaard, Jensen; Mbuemo, Maupay, Wissa. A long ball forward from Trent Alexander-Arnold picked out Darwin Nunez, and the striker used his pace to surge away from his marker and towards goal. A heavy touch saw Nunez reach the byline as the Brentford 'keeper rushed out of goal, but some great determination saw the Uruguayan hook the ball into the box for Jota to head home.
