We reviewed 'probably the best pint of Guinness in Blackpool' where you should listen to the customers
As one of the most successful brands of alcohol across the world, there's no one that hasn't heard of Guinness.
On a trip to Blackpool on a sunny afternoon, I walked past Scruffy Murphys on Corporation Street. As the sun shone, the beer garden to the front of the Greene King pub was filled with punters enjoying a pint or two. There was lager - but what stood out was the dark ruby red stout. Walking in to the pub, I was greeted with a queue of people at the bar - a good sign for a Friday afternoon. Another good sign was that I was also greeted with the sound of some Irish accents, meaning if it's good enough for them, it has to be good enough for this English lass.
I take a seat outside and in order to be fair, I wait a minute or so to allow the drink to settle and to darken as much as it can. It looks cold from the outside which is appealing straight away and thankfully, it tastes just as cold.
