Houston Zoowho left the Houston Zoo in April to become a dad.
The Denver Zoo responded by saying, “He's going to be a wonderful addition to our herd and we love him already!”He has been introduced to the herd’s leader, 53-year-old Groucho, as well as the rest of the herd, including 19-year-old Bodhi; 15-year-old Billy; 14-year-old Chuck; and 13-year-old Jake. They then live in groups that include an older bull to mentor the younger males in the group, which in this case is Groucho.
It also has an elephant care team specializing in studying the social dynamics of bulls to better understand the conservation of the species.
