It has previously confirmed that options for Benskin House, where the museum is currently based, are still being explored. When asked at the end of last year, it said it “cannot rule out anything in relation to the future use of the building”, but added that its Class II listing gives it legal protections from demolition or alterations that could destroy its historic fabric or affect its character.
