In a new video for SELF, SelmaBlair offers a peek into the pair’s 20-plus-year friendship.
Selma Blair talked about her decades-long friendship with Sarah Michelle Gellar in a new SELF video on the advice she would give her younger self. “I think I knew from the first moment I met Sarah Michelle Gellar that we would be friends forever, and she has made sure that’s happened,” Blair said. “If you have Sarah Michelle Gellar as your best friend, you really don’t need many other friends.”
Blair spoke about how she wanted to work with Gellar long before the two actually met. “I watched Sarah Michelle Gellar on, but I think I told someone—even before I was an actress; it was wishful thinking—I’m going to go to New York, and I’m going to try and get onand be friends with Kendall [the character Gellar played on the show].” Little did Blair know their paths would cross on the set of the 1999 hit.
