The singer, who celebrated her 34th birthday Friday, recorded "Doin' Time" for the upcoming Sublime documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April to mixed reviews from critics. Directed by Bill Guttentag and produced by Interscope Films, the film follows the group’s meteoric rise to the edge of mainstream success and their subsequent fall following the 1996 death of frontman Bradley Nowell., by posting a snippet of the song on her Instagram page. There's still no word on when the album will be released.
