The “Lean Back” rapper attended the Clinton Global Initiative meeting — which kicked off Sept. 18 and runs through Sept. 20 — and personally gave Clinton a pair of the“Special delivery. The rapper’s praise of Clinton continued. “I love you so much man. So many years you fought for the people and we love you,” Fat Joe said. “I’m a huge fan of yours. Thank you so much for all you do for us.” Clinton appeared happy with the gift and remarked, “These are cool!” when presented with the black-and-white low-top sneakers..
The TSAF1s launched in 2007 and were exclusive for Fat Joe’s friend and family. The rare sneaker has the initials of his birth name, Joe Cartagena, on the heel of the sneaker and an embroidered “TS” for Terror Squad beneath. The sneakers were released for the general public to purchase on Sept. 16 for $150.
Clinton is far from the first person Fat Joe has gifted the TSAF1s to. Ashanti, Ludacris, Jadakiss, J Balvin, Lupe Fiasco, Fabolous, DJ Khaled, Lil Jon, A$AP Ferg, Jennifer Lopez and more have all received pairs, personally delivered by the rapper himself.
