The Democratic presidential candidate was unharmed after a van crashed a few feet away from him during a speech in Miami.
Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker saw his event in Florida dramatically interrupted on Sunday as a minivan crashed a few feet away from where he was speaking.
“I’m glad the people involved are safe and it’s an unfortunate accident that happened,” Booker was quoted as saying by the Miami Herald. In November last year, Florida voted in favor of changing the law to allow previously convicted felons to vote but lawmakers are yet to reach an agreement on how to implement the measure.
