Washington Heights man shot dead outside local deli: cops
Detectives continue to search for the shooting suspect behind the murder of Reda Girgis, 66, outside the Chop Cheese 2 Deli at the corner of West 162nd Street and Broadway at about 7:11 p.m. on May 23., in responding to a 911 call about the shooting, found Girgis, who lived on West 162nd Street, with a bullet wound to his head., Girgis was shot while standing outside the deli; it’s unclear, however, whether he was the intended target.
