Curry has made his way into the television space before, but this appears to be the first time he will be a major figure in a scripted show.
‘Mr. Throwback’ comes from showrunner David Caspe, the creator of the ABC sitcom ‘Happy Endings’, and brothers Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman, who worked on that show as well as ‘The Mick’. Pally, who starred in an ensemble cast on ‘Happy Endings’, was also involved in the creation of this series.

Unanimous Media, Curry’s production company, was involved in ABC’s mini-golf game show ‘Holey Moley’ and ‘About Last Night’, a celebrity couples game show that debuted last year on HBO Max.
