Brits are being warned about severe thunderstorms and high winds battering parts of the Balearic Islands this weekend. Videos circulating on the internet appeared to show parts of Mallorca struck by heavy gusts and winds after an amber warning was issued by Spain's Aemet met agency, Birmingham Live reports.
The Met Office on X also put out a warning to holidaygoers heading to the island this weekend. It said: "Severe thunderstorms are affecting the Balearic Islands, leading to heavy rain and strong gusty winds".
