The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning for rain covering much of eastern Scotland.
The Met Office has issued another alert for heavy rain over the north east of Scotland less than a week after Storm Babet swept through the UK, bringing havoc to parts of the country.
A rather cloudy start to Thursday with some early fog patches and outbreaks of rain, which could turn heavy at times, especially in the south of England ⚠️☔Brechin in Angus was the worst affected area in north-east Scotland, where it understood hundreds of homes ended up being evacuated after the River South Esk breached its banks.
The latest Scottish Flood Forecast update said: “There is a possibility of some localised impacts from rivers and surface water on Thursday and Friday in the north east, Caithness and Sunderland, and Easter Ross and Great Glen due to further heavy rain.
