Carpenders Park has been a “No Cold Calling Zone” since 2006 and so there should not be any doorstep callers at all, police said. Trading standards advise not engaging with tradespeople who knock on doors to find work. Instead, it is better to get recommendations from people you know or to stick to Trading Standards-approved tradespeople.
