A team doctor from the Keswick Mountain Rescue team arrived on scene first to assess the injury and provide pain relief
A walker had to call on the help of mountain rescuers after slipping and hearing a 'crack' in her ankle.Once the ankle was reduced and strapped she was ready to be taken down the fell. She was then stretchered down to their vehicle and her partner drove her to hospital.A spokesperson for Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: "Whilst descending Barrow a 43 year old walker slipped and heard a ‘crack’ in her ankle.
"The ankle was reduced and strapped. She was then stretchered down to their vehicle and her partner drove her to hospital."
