Manchester City defender Kyle Walker wants the team to 'run away' with the Premier League this season rather than come from behind
Kyle Walker has challenged his Manchester City teammates to kill off the Premier League title race early this season.
That run saw them play for two weeks after the majority of their rivals had finished for summer though, and Erling Haaland has already admitted it has affected their performances. Despite their struggles on the pitch, the Blues have still had enough to win each of their first four Premier League games and enter the September international break as the only side with a 100 per cent record.
"The feeling of winning doesn't get old. When you're walking up the steps to Wembley or lifting up the Super Cup or any other trophy, it doesn't get old," he said. "[Mateo] Kovacic is a proven winner. You don’t win four Champions Leagues and play for Real Madrid and Inter Milan, and Chelsea, if you can’t play football. We have seen what he has done in the Premier League and he is a great addition to the squad, emulating Gundo.
