The match in Cardiff had been put under threat by a disagreement over a number of issues with Welsh rugby bosses.Wales rugby union boss Warren Gatland had previously cancelled training and delayed naming his squad to face England.
That was to allow players to negotiate with the Professional Rugby Board [PRB] and set out their demands. The players were negotiating for Wales Rugby Players Association representation at PRB meetings, a 60-cap law be scrapped, a place for a Welsh Rugby Players’ Association representative on the Professional Rugby Board and for the fixed-variable element of new contracts to be binned. It’s not clear what has actually been agreed but it’s understood compromises have been found.
