Wakefield Council agrees to invest £10.7m in Kellingley Social Club's refurbishment.
Plans to spend more than £10m on revamping a social club in West Yorkshire have been approved.
The full cost of the project is estimated to be £10.7m, mainly due to the poor condition of the building. Knottingley's three Lib Dem ward councillors have long been opposed to the scheme by the Labour-run council.
