This ranks 42nd out of the 50 states and Washington, D.C., and is well below the national level of $56,000. When considering median wage increase, Florida tied with Illinois at No. 18 at 8%, which is slightly higher than the national increase of 7.6%. Wyoming had the highest percentage growth at 11.9%, and Mississippi was the lowest at 6.3%.
