Visit Indy president and CEO Leonard Hoops highlighted a bright future for the Indianapolis tourism industry to a room of about 800 attendees during the organization's"State of Tourism" at the Indiana Convention Center Wednesday.
"Indianapolis should never be defined by our geography, or our topography, or our city limit size," Hoops said."We should be defined by our vision and our resilience in executing that vision.
Total spending on tourism per year was around $3.4 billion in 2005, as compared to $5.8 billion in 2019.
