THE COUNTESS OF WESSEX has issued a plea for the world to remember the plight of women under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

She also warned that the “devasting” Russian invasion of Ukraine could distract the world’s attention from the plight of Afghan women.She said: “It is so hard to imagine how much has changed for so many in so little time.
