The former Spice Girl teamed up with scientist Augustinus Bader for a one-of-a-kind moisturizer.
Beckham's new primer combines this patented technology with other skin-soothing ingredients, like avocado oil and peptides, for a two-in-one that works as a moisturizer and a. "Primers can help to create a little extra barrier to the damaging effects of the environment and can seal in moisture leading to healthier skin," Samolitis says, noting the ingenuity of a dual-use product.
If you're familiar with Augustinus Bader creams, the texture and weight of this new VBB primer falls somewhere in between Bader's The Rich Cream and his original product, The Cream. The primer is also white in color and smells the same as Bader's eponymous lineup , much to my delight. As a recent Bader convert , and a lifelong Beckham fan, I couldn't have been more excited to test this out.
Here are my thoughts: The primer itself goes on super lightweight, yet is still, as promised, very hydrating. I layered it onto bare skin, sans moisturizer underneath, then applied my foundation and concealer on top — and I have to say, on a very cold winter weekend, this primer managed to calm my on-the-verge of flaking off dry skin, and it also made my skin feel incredibly soft. Like baby's bottom soft, so soft that I can't stop touching my face.
Not certain about a lit-from-within glow just yet, but hey, not everyone can look like Victoria Beckham . In my humble opinion, the new Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer is just as amazing as I expected it to be, and I will continue to use it daily for its skin-care benefits alone. Bottom line: I love it.
