The meeting, held downtown, is expected to draw some 20,000 delegates.On Friday, Harris is slated to tour the NASA Johnson Space Center, where she will lead a space council meeting. The council coordinates federal space policies and activities, synchronizing efforts in the civil, commercial and national-security sectors. At the first meeting, in December, Harris emphasized building a STEM workforce, addressing climate change and promoting the rules and norms that govern space.
