Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro arrived in Mexico City on Friday, Mexico's foreign ministry said, ahead of a summit of a recently elected 'pink tide' of leftist Latin American leaders.

Mexico's Foreign Relations Minister Marcelo Ebrard poses for a photo with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, flanked by National Assembly member and first lady Cilia Flores and his wife Rosalinda Bueso, at the Benito Juarez International airport ahead of the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States , in Mexico City, Mexico September 17, 2021.

Venezuela said on Friday the opposition is aiming to "sabotage" an internationally mediated dialogue process between the two.
