A vehicle dropped 100 feet from a parking lot onto Pescadero State Beach late Thursday, killing one person and injuring two others, according to the CHP.

Around 10 p.m. Thursday, the driver of the vehicle drove over the cliff from a parking lot adjacent to Highway 1 and Pescadero Creek Road, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Sophie Lu. The vehicle fell about 100 feet before landing on all four tires, partially in the water and partially in the sand.
One person was pronounced dead at the beach, Lu said. Two others were transported to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries. Lu said the driver’s “state” is still under investigation, and officers believe it could be a possible DUI case.Ask Amy: I just found out that a famous entertainer is my brother.
