On top of imperceptibly perfected skin make-up artist Pat McGrath describes as “the new naked,” four otherworldly complexions served as a canvas for meticulously painted logo face tattoos.
The line work required five hours of application, and was designed as “a symbolic representation of the iconic Valentino logo,” says McGrath, adding “a face tattoo twists the narrative, inviting us to unbox a new approach to beauty.” The legendary pro extended the print over lids and lips for a trippy optical illusion. And with or without the treatment, McGrath notes that the beauty theme was about individuality: “Every model’s natural beauty is spotlit.
