Miah Cerrillo, an 11-year-old fourth-grader at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Wednesday recounted smearing her classmate’s blood on herself to make it look like she’d been killed and staying quiet after an 18-year-old gunman shot and killed her teacher and her classmates last month, in testimony during a House hearing on gun violence....
Dr. Roy Guerrero, the sole pediatrician in the town of Uvalde, said “business as usual stopped, along with my heart” as he learned of the shooting at Robb Elementary School, and described his experience treating children with injuries from an assault-style rifle.
