USFL supplemental draft starts with a former Alabama prep star.

Before being drafted, a player must have signed a contract with the USFL. The supplemental draft gave some players two extra weeks to do that. It also gave teams to fill holes in their rosters. For example, some teams passed up their pick in the long-snapper round or the punter round in February to get an extra pick in the defensive-end round or the offensive-tackle round.
· Wide receiver Marlon Williams by the Birmingham Stallions with the fourth pick of the seventh round. · Wide receiver John Franklin III by the Tampa Bay Bandits with the fifth selection in the 17th round.· Edge/defensive end Malik Hamner to the New Jersey Generals with the fifth pick in the fourth round.· Cornerback Tae Hayes to the Birmingham Stallions with the second pick in the ninth round.· Offensive tackle Justice Powers to the Birmingham Stallions with the second pick in the seventh round.
