BREAKING: More travel misery tomorrow after RMT accuse Grant Shapps of 'wrecking' talks.
The RMT transport union has confirmed tomorrow’s rail strike will go ahead as planned.
More than 40,000 rail signallers, maintenance and train staff working for Network Rail and 13 train operators have been striking this week. With inflation currently heading towards 11%, the union says its demand will help workers through the cost of living crisis. Talks were held today between the RMT, Network Rail and rail operators in a bid to break the deadlocked row.
