There are numerous upcoming anime series that are highly anticipated and one Netflix series that will fill familiar to any Dungeons and Dragons player should be counted among them. Delicious in Dungeon is an adventure comedy that has provided fans with a trailer and general release window. However, it could be the exact thing that fans of Dungeons & Dragons need to have in their lives.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Based on the manga of the same name, Delicious in Dungeon follows a group of adventurers as they make their way through various dungeons. The manga was created by Ryoko Kui and began serializing in 2014. Thus far, the seinen series, published by Yen Press, spans twelve volumes. Its anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Trigger and is set to release in January 2024.
Delicious in Dungeon Focuses on Fantasy's Savory Elements Delicious in Dungeon follows three adventurers: Laios, Chilchuck, and Marcille. Previously a party of six, the group has experienced tragedy and has found itself divided. Each member has a different class, as is expected of dungeon fantasy stories. The party must evaluate its resources and embark on a quest to save a fallen team member, who could very well be dead.
While the series will have its serious moments and has a clear-cut goal in mind, the true fun will be in seeing not just how the group cooks its food, but how grotesque the ingredients are that make up their meals. Dungeons & Dragons has remained popular not just because of its dangerous quests and incredible settings, but also because of how fluid a game can be. The memories made with friends as well as silly encounters or solutions often bring about the most joy.
