I think people are undervaluing Colorado after last week. I don’t know how likely it is that they win this ballgame, but 21.5 for that defense against an offense that still has a ton of talent.I think I’m still going to take USC to cover. Colorado’s issues protecting Shedeur , they’re a problem and it’s going to continue to catch up to them. They have no run game in existence at this point.
This USC defense is still a little bit better than it was a year ago. I have a hard time thinking Colorado is going to cover here.I think it’s possible that Colorado scores 35 and doesn’t cover the spread. I have a very hard time picking against a team that can score without being pushed that much. That to me is a deal breaker. I do think there is a chance, a small chance, that USC’s defense is a little bit more improved than we’re giving them credit for, too.
I think it’s possible that Colorado is just at the peak of what it’s going to be. It took every ounce of their energy to get to 3-0. They’re playing two of the best teams in the conference in back-to-back weeks, obviously this one is at home, it’s a little bit different, but we’re starting to get a key into what Colorado is. That’s not bad. They’re a pretty good team, but I think USC is going to be able to score on every drive and if they’re going to do that then I don’t want to take points.
I think Duke is legitimately pretty good and I think you can make the case that their quarterback is just as good as Sam Hartman. Is that crazy?
