In the interests of journalism, I actually drank a can of Bud Light; no influencer could influence met to drink another one

Bud Light: One wag said that it identifies as water; sure seemed that way to me when I tried some. The burning issue in the media at the moment is the story of how beer-drinkers are deserting Bud Light.I figured it was my journalistic duty to address that issue, so I headed off to the local liquor store. I bought the minimum amount of Bud Light available, which turned out to be a 24-ounce can for $1.99.

I’m an open-minded guy, so after my run I cracked the can open to see if I could find that diverse taste profile.The beer was cold and it was wet, but that was it. I couldn’t detect even a trace of malt, hops or anything else that’s supposed to be in beer - except of course water. Their beer is so nondescript that they need to employ all sorts of marketing tricks to sell it, including an internet “influencer.”

The craft breweries don’t have to spend millions in advertising, he said. They can rely on word-of-mouth“They have beers that people will wait years for,” he said. “But they don’t have $10 million for a commercial during the Super Bowl.”
