A New Zealand man received 10 Covid jabs in one day after anti-vaxxers paid him to get the jab for them
An ‘unbelievably selfish’ man was vaccinated against Covid up to 10 times in one day after others paid him to get the jab for them.
He was then given the shot before the vaccination records were updated for the individual he was impersonating. Astrid Koornneef from the NZ Ministry of Health branded the behaviour ‘dangerous’ as she announced an investigation has been launched.‘We are very concerned about this situation and are working with the appropriate agencies,’ Ms Koorneef, group manager operations for the Covid-19 vaccine and immunisation program, said.
‘Medical practitioners operate in a high-trust environment and rely on people to act in good faith to share information accurately to assist with their treatment.’She advised any person who has had more vaccine doses than recommended should seek clinical advice as soon as possible.
