Un autobús en el que viajarían migrantes recién llegados a Italia chocó contra un camión al norte de Roma a primera hora del viernes, mientras el gobierno acelera su traslado al norte para intentar aliviar la presión en la isla siciliana de Lampedusa.
Otras 10 personas resultaron heridas en el accidente ocurrido en la autopista A1 cerca de Fiano Romano, según los bomberos. La prensa local reportó que el bus trasladaba a la región de Piamonte, en el norte, a migrantes llegados en los últimos días a Lampedusa, que habían sido embarcados en ferry hacia la península italiana.
Hasta el viernes en la mañana, en las instalaciones había unas 3.800 personas, un importante descenso con respecto a las más de 6.000 registradas esta semana, indicó la Cruz Roja en un comunicado.
