"Some 90% of buildings are damaged. More than two-thirds of the city's housing stock has been completely destroyed. A Reuters journalist in the area said a ceramics factory was almost completely destroyed on the outskirts of the Donetsk town of Bakhmut, which straddles the last main road into Sievierodonetsk and is just 10 km from the frontline. Meanwhile Zelenskiy - who has won widespread admiration in the West for his leadership in the conflict - visited Ukrainian troops on the frontlines in northeastern Kharkiv region.
