UKHSA issues mpox warning as cases rise - symptoms, transmission and vaccine eligibility
The UK Health Security Agency has issued a warning about the mpox virus after the latest data showed an increase in cases.
Katy Sinka, Head of Sexually Transmitted Infections at UKHSA, said: "It is clear from these latest statistics that mpox has not gone away. While mpox infection is mild for many, it can cause severe symptoms for some so it’s important people remain alert to the risks. The majority of cases have been in men who are gay, bisexual or have sex with other men, the NHS said.
