UEFA have officially clarified that Scott McTominay's 'goal' against Spain on Thursday night was ruled out for offside, despite referee Serdar Gözübüyük signalling that it had been disallowed because of a foul by Jack Hendry on Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon.
The big screens in the Estadio de la Cartuja also stated that a foul had been the reason the goal had been chalked off in controversial, but UEFA have now responded to a query from Herald Sport to confirm it was Hendry's positioning that was penalised.
