October 4 marked the annual day of action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two\u002DSpirited.
On a night people gathered outside the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina for the annual Sisters in Spirit vigil, the organizer of the event said there is a purpose behind the location.
“It feels like movement. It feels like energy going in a good direction,” Whiteman said after the vigil. Whiteman got the idea of the Place of Reflection after going through the unhealthy cycle of looking for her mother Delores Whiteman who disappeared in the 1980s.
