The space agencies for the U.S. and Russia agreed that a Russian spacecraft will fly to the International Space Station to retrieve three people

Amid tensions between Moscow and the West over the Ukraine war, the Russian space agency said the country would quit the International Space Station after 2024. Officials are still determining when the trio would board the empty ship, called Soyuz MS-23, for a return trip to Earth after it docks to the research facility. They are expected to remain in orbit for several extra months, beyond their planned six-month mission.
