U.N. investigator calls for further scrutiny of Saudi crown prince's liability in death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi
A top U.N. investigator found “credible evidence” that warrants further investigation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s responsibility in the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi last October, a killing that drew widespread international criticism and slowed investments in the kingdom.
In a report released Wednesday that concluded a monthslong probe into the murder, Agnes Callamard, the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial killings, found Saudi Arabia responsible.
