UPDATE: Police say three individuals, a 16-year-old, 17-year-old, and 30-year-old, were arrested in connection to the deadly March shooting that killed a 5-year-old and injured two other children.
TEMPE, AZ — Tempe police say three people, including two teens, are in custody after a shooting that wounded two children and left a 5-year-old dead earlier this month.
The vehicle that was shot at had an 18-year-old and six children inside, with all of the children between the ages of 2 and 17. All individuals in the victim's vehicle are related or known to each other, according to police. Police say 16-year-old Freddy Patterson, 17-year-old Charles Adams, and 30-year-old Demarcus Frazier were arrested on March 21 in connection to this shooting. All three are being charged as adults.Tempe police said Monday that they are confident that all of the suspects responsible are in custody.
