Las Vegas Raiders Jakobi Meyers and Brian Hoyer shine in the Raiders 21-17 win over the New England Patriots.
The Las Vegas Raiders finished the job with a 21-17 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. The Raiders are .500 with a 3-3 record and are currently on a two-game winning streak.Two Raiders players shined against their former teams against the Patriots. Those two Raiders are wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and quarterback Brian Hoyer.
Meyers now has 30 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns on the season, making him one of the key utilities for the Silver and Black offense. One big takeaway from the Raiders game against the Patriots was quarterback Jimmy Garoppolos injury. Garoppolo left the game with a back injury late in the second quarter, which made him be ruled out for the remainder of the game.
"Having been there for the last seven years, I know a lot of times on third down they want to take away your best players and for us that would be Davante and Jakobi and that was something we were keen in on," he said."It's something that I've seen in practice over the years a lot of times and so I was just waiting to see, were they going to to do that?"
