Two longtime employees with the district were hit by the vehicle around 7:30 a.m. as they were walking from one district facility to another on the 900 block of High Street.
OAKLAND — Two Oakland Unified School District employees had serious injuries after being hit by a driver Wednesday morning, according to police and school officials.
The Oakland Police Department confirmed it’s investigating the collision. The Oakland Fire Department and Falck Ambulance also responded to the scene and gave medical aid to both people, who were taken to local hospitals. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
