The events organized by the district-wide Black Student Union is leading the efforts in hopes to put an end to racism and rape culture within schools, according to flyers for the “BSU student strike.”The protest comes as an increasing number of students have come forward to report abuse. Participating students will gather at River Ridge High School in Olympia and North Thurston High School in Lacey.Students plan to also take part in a march along Marvin Road and Martin Way.
