Shares in social media giant Twitter have surged by a quarter after it was revealed that Tesla billionaire Elon Musk had bought a 9.2% stake.The stake is worth $2.89bn , based on Twitter's closing price on Friday. His stake is considered a passive investment which signals he has no demands on a larger slice of the company.But Wedbush analyst Dan Ives wrote in a note to investors:"We would expect this passive stake as just the start of broader conversations with the Twitter board/management that could ultimately lead to an active stake and a potential more aggressive ownership role of Twitter."
