The reasons for citing the accounts included “Rand Paul visit excitement,” “Bot (averages 20 tweets a day” and “Being followed by rival Eric Brakey,” Taibbi said.Taibbi also tweeted: “If Dick Nixon sniffed glue, this is what his enemies list might have looked like.” Journalist Matt Taibbi called King’s list of Twitter users something former President Richard Nixon would do if he “sniffed glue.”The former Rolling Stone writer also compared that to last week’s House Oversight Committee hearing at which a former member of Twitter’s content moderation team testified that thein which model Chrissy Teigen called then-President Donald Trump a “p—y ass b—h.”

Taibbi also highlighted an April 14, 2020, email sent to Twitter by US State Department official Mark Lenzi, who flagged what he said were 14 “Russian government controlled accounts that I think you will want to look into and delete.”
