“Love Island,” which premiered in 2019, is about a bunch of young people who are sent to a villa and filmed while viewers at home vote on who should pair off , who should leave and who gets a second chance. The aim is to stay on the island and couple up, if only to win $100,000 .Single outliers are summarily dismissed from the island . By “island,” we mean “California.”
