Gene Poole, the owner of Hudson-Poole Fine Jewelers in Tuscaloosa, and his wife Jamie have made their way back to the United States after their trip to Israel
Gene and Jamie Poole greeted by a friend at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport Gene Poole, the owner of Hudson-Poole Fine Jewelers in Tuscaloosa, and his wife Jamie, have made their way back to the United States after their trip to Israel with two other couples.
Gene Poole added, “I feel wonderful, glad to be here, glad to be in the United States, glad to be safe and sound." "It was really crazy. We thought it would be a 3 1/2 , 4 hour trip from Jerusalem to Amman, Jordan and it turned into a 9 hour trip, basic reason was because at the border between Israel and Jordan, there were thousands of people and everybody trying to do the same thing, we pulled up in our little van and there were 15-20 huge bus loads of people trying to get out in front of us," said Gene.
