Turnout for the second Bessemer Amazon union vote is lower than the first.

BESSEMER, AL - MARCH 29: An RWDSU union rep holds a sign outside the Amazon fulfillment warehouse at the center of a unionization drive on March 29, 2021 in Bessemer, Alabama. Employees at the fulfillment center are currently voting on whether to form a union, a decision that could have national repercussions. Officials with the National Labor Relations Board say the official counting of votes in the second union election at Amazon’s Bessemer fulfillment center could begin tomorrow afternoon.

Either side could contest a person’s eligibility to vote. Those ballots were then set aside. The remaining ones will be counted. According to the RWDSU, 6,143 ballots went out to workers in February, with 2,375 ballots returned in total. That works out to a turnout percentage of 38.6%.
